  39. Another possibility is

  41. 3) Perhaps the 10/18/95 roms don't work in the older v34 modems.  (The new
  42. v34+ modems have many parts that differ from the older ones.)   So USR may be
  43. trying to produce a v34+ rom that does work with the older datapumps, etc.

  45. If this is true then we may get a rom that is just as buggy,
  46. but in new and different ways!
